SfTS 2.1 to Microsoft Visual Studio Scrum 2.2

Hello World!

First I want to apologize for my bad English.

We are in the process of migrating TFS 2008 to TFS 2012.

Until now employ SfTFS v.2.1.13952.002, and we would like these projects to migrate Microsoft Visual Studio Scrum 2.2. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks in advance. Best Regards

Yes, it can be done, but unfortunately it isn't simple. I did it by using the TFS Integration Tools because I wanted to combine several team projects into a new team project. However, you can also do it in place. Here is an example of one way to do it: http://www.benday.com/2013/08/20/how-to-upgrade-tfs2008-conchango-projects-to-tfs2012-microsoft-visual-studio-scrum/.

The best advice is to restore a backup on to a test server and practice the upgrade process before doing it on your real server. The TFS Upgrade Guide will be helpful for that.
